Z racji tego, że naukowcy przeprowadzali różnorodne eksperymenty (zarówno na poziomie komórkowym, jak i na żywych organizmach), badając aż 40 różnych rodzajów raka, nie ma możliwości, aby opisać je wszystkie tutaj. Publikacje z PubMed podlinkuję na końcu artykuły, a teraz skupię się na opisie wybranych badań opisanych w książce Zwycięstwo nad rakiem. Blokowanie enzymów trawiących tkankę łączną Blokowanie enzymu urokinazy Naukowcy opracowali sześć zestawów testowych – w każdym z nich umieścili taką samą ilość komórek raka prostaty. Pięć z nich zawierało mikroskładniki w różnych stężeniach, a jeden nie zwierał ich wcale. Następnego dnia badacze sprawdzili zawartość urokinazy (uPA) – enzymu trawiącego kolagen. Okazało się, że jej poziom jest proporcjonalny do stężenia mikroskładników – im wyższa dawka mikroskładników tym mniejszy poziom enzymu trawiącego kolagen. Te same rezultaty naukowcy osiągnęli, badając wiele innych rodzajów raka. Jak czytamy w książce, „w międzyczasie wyniki tych badań zostały potwierdzone przez innych naukowców. Wykazali oni, że przerzuty nowotworu (metastaza) zostały powstrzymane u myszy z upośledzoną produkcją enzymu urokinazy, podkreślając tym samym znaczenie tego enzymu w rozwoju raka”. [10] Blokowanie enzymu MMP Innym enzymem odgrywającym kluczową rolę w trawieniu tkanki łącznej przez komórki rakowe jest MMPS (metaloproteinazy matrycowe), w szczególności MMP-2 i MMP-9. Naukowcy przeprowadzili eksperyment podobny do poprzedniego, tym razem wykorzystując komórki raka pęcherza (pięć zestawów testujących, cztery z nich zawierały różne stężenia mikroskładników, a jeden z nich nie zawierał ich wcale). Podobnie jak w przypadku urokinazy, mikroskładniki okazały się skuteczne w hamowaniu MMP-2 i MMP-9. Najwyższe dawki tych substancji całkowicie zablokowały wydzielanie enzymów trawiących kolagen. Jak czytamy w książce, „w międzyczasie udało nam się potwierdzić ten efekt oddziaływania mikroelementów w 40 rodzajach ludzkich komórek nowotworowych”. [11] Powstrzymanie ekspansji komórek rakowych Kolejnym etapem badań było zweryfikowanie tego, czy mikroelementy są w stanie powstrzymać przenikanie komórek nowotworowych przez tkankę łączną. W tym celu naukowcy przygotowali 2 fiolki wypełnione płynem przypominającym ustrojowy. Górna i dolna część zbiorniczków została oddzielona przy pomocy specjalnej membrany zbudowanej z tkanki łącznej (Matrigel). Okazało się, że komórki w fiolce zawierającej zestaw mikroskładników nie przedostały się na drugą stronę membrany (w przeciwieństwie do komórek w drugim zbiorniczku). „Bazując na wcześniejszych doświadczeniach, wiedzieliśmy, że komórki rakowe łatwo przedostają się przez oddzielającą ją membranę tkanki łącznej i można je później odnaleźć – i policzyć – po drugiej stronie (…). Zasadniczo z im bardziej agresywnym typem raka mamy do czynienia, tym więcej komórek raka jest w stanie przedostać się na drugą stronę membrany. W rozległej serii eksperymentów wykazaliśmy, że specyficzny zestaw mikroelementów był w stanie całkowicie zablokować przebicie membrany tkanki łącznej przez wszystkie testowane przez nas rodzaje komórek raka.” [12] Naukowcy przebadali w ten sam sposób 40 różnych typów komórek nowotworowych. We wszystkich przypadkach udało się całkowicie zahamować inwazję raka, jednak osiągano ten cel przy różnych stężeniach mikroelementów. Dla przykładu, niskie dawki naturalnych składników pozwalały na całkowitą inhibicję raka piersi oraz chłoniaka Hodgkina. Umiarkowane dawki powstrzymywały ekspansję raka płuc, okrężnicy, szyjki macicy, skóry, kości, jąder, trzustki oraz chłoniaka nieziarniczego. Naukowcy wstrzyknęli do krwiobiegu gryzoni taką samą ilość komórek czerniaka (raka skóry). Przy najwyższym stężeniu mikroelementów, wszystkie komórki rakowe były w stadium zaawansowanej apoptozy (tzn. ginęły). Tak więc mikroelementy nie tylko okazują się być bezpiecznym sposobem zatrzymania dalszego rozwoju raka, lecz również mają zdolność, by powodować zanik już istniejących guzów” – piszą autorzy. [16] Jakie naturalne substancje wykorzystali naukowcy w walce z rakiem? Naturalne składniki, które hamują proces trawienia tkanki łącznej Wśród naturalnych substancji blokujących wydzielanie enzymów trawiących kolagen najważniejsza jest L-lizyna – aminokwas białkowy, który nie jest wytwarzany w naszym organizmie i musi być przyjmowany wraz z pożywieniem. Jak czytamy w książce „jeśli poprzez suplementację naszej diety zapewnimy organizmowi odpowiednią ilość lizyny, będzie ona mogła blokować specyficzne miejsca zakotwiczenia, w których enzymy rozpuszczające kolagen przyłączają się do cząsteczek tkanki łącznej. W ten sposób lizyna może uniemożliwić tym enzymom niekontrolowane trawienie tkanki łącznej”. [17] Innymi substancjami wspomagającymi blokowanie trawienia kolagenu są: witamina C, L-prolina, N-acetylocysteina (NAC), ekstrakt z zielonej herbaty (EGCG) oraz selen. [18] Naturalne składniki, które stymulują produkcję kolagenu i stabilizują tkankę łączną Innym ważnym aspektem leczenia i zapobiegania raka jest stabilizacja tkanki łącznej. W tym procesie kluczowa jest witamina C, która stymuluje produkcję kolagenu i elastyny, a dodatkowo jest niezbędna do stabilizacji nowo powstałych włókien kolagenowych. [19] Udział w wytwarzaniu i stabilizacji tkanki łącznej mają także miedź, mangan, L-lizyna oraz L-prolina. [18] Dwa ostatnie są ważnymi składnikami budulcowymi kolagenu (stanowią łącznie około 25% tego białka). Zarówno witamina C, jak i lizyna muszą być przyjmowane wraz z pożywieniem, ponieważ nasz organizm ich nie produkuje. Niestety dieta współczesnego człowieka zazwyczaj nie spełnia zapotrzebowania na te składniki. Większość z nas cierpi zatem na ich przewlekłe niedobory. Prolina z kolei jest produkowana przez ludzki organizm, jednak w ograniczonych ilościach, przez co również mogą występować u nas deficyty tej substancji. [19] Składniki hamujące formowanie nowych naczyń krwionośnych Substancjami spełniającymi kluczową rolę w procesie zahamowania angiogenezy (czyli tworzenia nowych naczyń włosowatych) są ekstrakt z zielonej herbaty (EGCG) oraz N-acetylocysteina (NAC). [18] Składniki powodujące śmierć komórek rakowych Zespół dr Ratha potwierdził, że komórki rakowe umierają pod wpływem działania witaminy C, ekstraktu z zielonej herbaty (EGCG), N-acetylocysteiny (NAC), selenu, l-argininy i l-proliny. W skład zestawu mikroskładników wchodziła także kwercetyna, która zapewnia synergię pomiędzy poszczególnymi składnikami. [18] Kontrowersyjne odkrycie dr Tullio Simoncini Kontrowersyjna teoria dr Tullio Simoncini zakładająca, że rak to tak naprawdę bardzo zaawansowana infekcja grzybicza była pierwszą informacją, na którą natknęłam się, szukając informacji o naturalnych metodach leczenia raka. Brzmiało niedorzecznie, więc z automatu zdyskredytowałam to założenie, uznając je za kompletnie absurdalne. Gdy jednak w końcu zdecydowałam się zagłębić w ten temat, okazało się, że teoria dr Simoncini jest zaskakująco logiczna. I wbrew pozorom, nie stoi wcale w opozycji do wspomnianych wyżej badań dr Ratha i dr Niedzwiecki. Ale o tym trochę później. Kim jest dr Simoncini? Tullio Simoncini specjalizował się w onkologii dziecięcej. Przez wiele lat praktyki boleśnie przekonał się o tym, że chemioterapia i radioterapia nie przynoszą prawdziwych rezultatów, a dzieci po prostu umierają. Zawsze niezmiernie bulwersował go fakt, że onkologia od ponad 100 lat opiera się na teorii anormalnego podziału komórek, jednak jak dotąd nie zdołała tego udowodnić. „Jeśli ponad wiek nie wystarczył, żeby potwierdzić tą teorię, to może w końcu czas przyznać, że może być ona błędna?” – powiedział w jednym z wywiadów. [20] Rak to zaawansowana infekcja grzybicza? Dr Simoncini po latach obserwacji różnych guzów nowotworowych zauważył pomiędzy nimi jeden wspólny mianownik – większość z nich pokrywa warstwa białej pleśni. Tradycyjna medycyna twierdzi, że okolice guzów nowotworowych (ze względu na ich kwaśny odczyn) są po prostu sprzyjającym środowiskiem dla rozwoju grzybów (które najlepiej rozmnażają się w kwasowym otoczeniu). Dr Simoncini wysnuł jednak teorię, że być może to właśnie grzyby (a nie anormalny podział komórek) są prawdziwą przyczyną nowotworów, a narastające guzy są jedynie reakcją organizmu na rozwijającą się infekcję (komórki dzielą się, żeby się bronić). Ponieważ na oddziale onkologii dziecięcej stosowano roztwór wody z sodą oczyszczoną do przemywania buzi dzieci, które zmagały się grzybicą ust, dr Simoncini wiedział, że jest to skuteczny środek przeciwgrzybiczy. Postanowił więc wypróbować go w terapii raka, co przyniosło zaskakująco dobre rezultaty. Podczas swoich wykładów, dr Simoncini pokazuje bardzo wiele nagrań z kolonoskopii, bronchoskopii, gastroskopii czy torakoskopii, na których wyraźnie widać białe guzy nowotworowe pomniejszające się w krótkim czasie po aplikacji roztworu sody oczyszczonej. Zauważalne rezultaty widać nawet w ciągu kilku dni. Dodam tylko, że dr Simoncini zwrócił się do włoskiego rządu z prośbą o przeprowadzenie oficjalnych badań klinicznych, które potwierdziłyby skuteczność proponowanej przez niego metody leczenia. Żadnych testów jednak nie przeprowadzono, zamiast tego wszczęto postępowanie sądowe z powodu leczenia pacjentów niezatwierdzonymi oficjalnie metodami. Ostatecznie zakończyło się to dla niego utratą licencji lekarskiej. Jeśli uznamy kolagen za rodzaj muru i ogrodzenia, to proteinazy grzyba rozkruszają ten mur do luźnych cegieł i kamieni (aminokwasy z rozpadniętego białka) dzięki czemu grzyb swobodnie wkracza za mury obronne.” [21] Czy nie uważacie, że dr Masteja przedstawia ekspansję Candida Albicans w dokładnie taki sam sposób jak naukowcy z Instytutu Medycyny Komórkowej dr Ratha opisują rozprzestrzenianie się komórek nowotworowych? W obu przypadkach mamy enzymy, które rozpuszczają kolagen i torują sobie tym samym drogę ekspansji. Na dodatek, jak czytamy w publikacji Expression of Matrix Metalloproteinases during Experimental Candida albicans Keratitis, przy zakażeniu grzybiczym następuje produkcja MMP-9 [22] – wg dr Ratha jednego z kluczowych enzymów wytwarzanych przez komórki rakowe. This treatment is based on the theory that cancer is caused by a form of yeast infection and that sodium bicarbonate can kill the yeast. This claim is not supported by science or clinical evidence and is contrary to widely-accepted basic facts of oncology and microbiology. Sodium bicarbonate is used as a conventional treatment for disorders in which the blood is too acidic. It is also used as an over-the-counter remedy for heartburn, although not so much today as it was in the past. Available scientific evidence does not support claims that cancer is caused by infection with a type of yeast known as Candida albicans. This claim is made on several websites, in videos of Dr. Simoncini posted on the Internet, and in a book written by Dr. Simoncini. Sodium bicarbonate is given by some alternative practitioners by mouth (orally) or into a vein (intravenously). It is also given intra-arterially (into an artery supplying blood to the tumor) and is sometimes given as a solution directly through the trachea (windpipe) into the lungs to treat lung cancer. Conventional cancer treatments roughly cost $ 100,000. Alternative methods cost much less, while their effect is much higher. That is why more and more people are seeking for alternative ways of treating cancer. Below we describe several therapies to treat cancer with bicarbonate of soda, which have helped hundreds of people. However, it is important to understand that cancer is a serious disease, and that such treatment necessarily must work under the supervision of an alternative experienced physician. Therapy with baking soda (by Dr. Simoncini) Italian oncologist recommends the use of baking soda with no aluminium additives or pharmaceutical baking soda in the treatment of cancer. Sodium bicarbonate, unlike other anti-fungal remedies to which the fungus can become immune, is extremely diffusible and retains its ability to penetrate the tumor, due to the speed at which the sodium bicarbonate disintegrates the tumor. A Concurrence Between Cancer And Candida Earlier researchers have found a concurrence between cancer and candida. One Nation Under Drugs – Why I Abandoned The Pharmaceutical Industry As a medicinal chemist, I ignored my suspicion that an insidious and deliberate push to get each and every American hooked on drugs, while at the same time bankrupting them, existed between Big Pharma and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). I enjoyed my work. Drug design paid well and kept me comfortably isolated in a high-tech lab, fully equipped to help me bend and twist matter at will. The last thing I wanted to think of was a plot designed to sabotage health and wealth—while causing untold ecological damage—using my chemistry skills. But over time, experience confirmed my suspicion as fact and revealed something even scarier. Deadly Profiteering My passion for drug design arose from the miracle of emergency medicine, one of humankind’s greatest scientific achievements. Sadly though, medicine is no longer exclusive to emergency use. Today, outside of emergency medicine, it’s being used in a deadly game of profiteering, as heavily documented in my latest book, Over-The-Counter Natural Cures. My doubts about modern medicine began while I was employed by Eli Lilly to design a new generation of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) drugs, a class which includes tamoxifen and raloxifene. Initially, they were thought to block estrogen receptors and thereby halt breast cancer. As time progressed, it was learned that they were also capable of activating estrogen receptors and boosting cancer growth. The Journal of the American Medical Association recognized this trend and published, “Our data add to the growing body of evidence that recent long-term use of HRT is associated with an increased risk of breast cancer and that such use may be related particularly to lobular tumors.” My task was made clear: Design HRT ‘knock-offs’ that are effective without causing cancer. My attempt to design safer alternatives began with small alterations to the two-dimensional structure of tamoxifen. It was unsuccessful. All chemical cousins acted as cancer fertilizer and after one year, the project was ended. Access to tamoxifen and other HRT meds however, was not. Despite its ability to inflame cancer, tamoxifen continued to be used as the Gold-Standard in breast cancer treatment. As a young naïve chemist, I was determined to learn how such a dangerous drug could get through the prestigious FDA approval process. Checkbook Science Tamoxifen was developed by British company Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI), whose pharmaceutical division was later spun off as Astra Zeneca. Knowing that “demand drives drug approval,” ICI established—in partnership with the American Cancer Society–National Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Fueled by fear, women worldwide began pushing for more choices in cancer drugs, and in Big Pharma language, that means more drug approvals. Tamoxifen demand was successfully created and expanded every subsequent year thanks to ICI’s self-serving pink ribbon campaign. But, how did tamoxifen sail past the protective blood-brain barrier of the FDA? A quick lesson in statistical contortionism shows how. Just like chemists manipulate the properties of matter, Big Pharma manipulates studies using “checkbook science.” This allows them to pay for the design and interpretation of clinical trials. Tamoxifen studies were conveniently stopped at five years, the minimum amount of time required for cancer to develop. This successfully hid its cancer causing problem. But just like their pink campaigns, there’s more stink. In 1992, tamoxifen evangelist Dr. Bernard Fisher, working for the National Cancer Institute (NCI), received $68 million in federal money to assess whether the drug could prevent breast cancer. In an effort to make tamoxifen appear safe and effective, Fisher failed to report falsified data and enrollment fraud to the NCI, casting further stench over the study and resulting in his termination as director. The smoke and mirrors showed that tamoxifen reduced breast cancer by 50%. In reality, it was an insignificant absolute difference. Checkbook science isn’t illegal by FDA standards. It’s been going on for over 20 years. Known as the Bayh-Dole Act, US law was amended in 1980 to permit flagrant conflicts of interest, ones that allow the industry to design drug trials and hire experts to conjure up favorable results at will. Once demand was created, and checkbook science in place, the FDA only needed one study to approve tamoxifen in record time–30 days. They did this by hiring advisors with Big Pharma financial ties to sit on its review committee. Failing to do their homework, only ten percent of the case reports from women enrolled in the tamoxifen trials were reviewed by the committee. But, most alarming to me as a chemist, it was still given a green light as a preventive cancer treatment for healthy women! Aiming for wealth, not health, Big Pharma hit the financial bull’s eye. As the Gold-Standard for breast cancer treatment today, generic tamoxifen rakes in billions every year with few noticing its “little cancer problem,” as it became known in our lab. Drug Lobbying – Buying the US Govt. I thought I was getting paid well as a new drug chemist; I was driving a brand new PT Cruiser (which my wife hated), had $15,000 in stock options and was offered a $10,000 incentive to buy a new house. Heck, if I was really good, I would get a $4,500 dollar raise after a year, which equated to a weekly burrito at Chipotle, with guacamole (which is extra), Mountain Dew included. A closer look at the real drug profits however, revealed I wasn’t even making pennies on the pharmaceutical dollar and neither were the biology researchers. Obscene amounts of drug profits were going to the pharmaceutical titans, their shareholders—and even to the FDA. That’s right, rather than being funded solely by taxpayers, our drug administration is being paid by the very industry it’s supposed to regulate. This is legal—courtesy of the Prescription Drug User Fee Act. Today, the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research at the FDA is dependent on drug companies for nearly half of its funding. Drug lobbying is another slimy practice that greases the “FDA revolving door,” and blurs the line between the drug industry and the US government. According to a report by the Center for Public Integrity, congressmen are outnumbered two to one by lobbyists for the pharmaceutical industry.
